He is eager to formulate a business plan.

James enjoys history, but specifically African American history that acknowledges the contributions these great Americans have made to the culture of the U.S.  He realizes that African Americans have shown incredible triumph in the face of tremendous tragedy. James believes that knowing the past will open doors to the future.

James has been a member of the Jr. ROTC where he’s learned self-discipline, self-confidence, leadership and diversity skills.  He is also a self-taught dancer in animation and pop-walking and has been a member of the Trojan Crew Dance team, where he won Best Male Dancer. He loves creating music and roller-skating with the SkatCity sk8 Crew.

James has attended the AAYLC for one year and benefited from the leadership skills sessions. His integrity and persistence, with a clear sense of direction, will help him pursue his dream of becoming an entrepreneur.  James’s mentor is his dad who taught him a commitment to responsibility toward family, self and community.
