5th Annual Book Summary Lottery

Calling all 6th - 12th grade readers! It is time for AAYLC’s 5th Annual Book Summary Lottery. Walk, run, skate, or ride your bike to the nearest library—or ELibrary. Grab (or download) a novel written by an African American author. Read it from cover to cover, and then submit a book summary to a panel of judges who are eager to read your thoughts on the novel of your choice.
Your book summary could be worth a $100 Amazon gift card! All submissions will be entered into a drawing. Eight students will have an opportunity to win. Summaries are due Friday, June 24th. To access the book summary link, please click here.

AAYLC's Leadership Institute (SAVE THE DATE)
Attention 9th - 12th grade students! You are invited to participate in the AAYLC's Leadership Institute. This intensive multi-day program is designed to build and enhance your leadership skills. Each student will also have an opportunity to identify their core values through a leadership strengths assessment. Come and see what It means to be a part of a positive change.
