Crown Scholar - May 2025 (Jaela Johnson)

May 2025 - Jaela Johnson (1).png

Jaela Johnson, an 8th grader at Soaring Eagles Community School, is already making waves with her unstoppable drive and infectious enthusiasm! With a 3.25 GPA, a love for learning, and a record-breaking track season under her belt, Jaela is setting the pace—both on and off the field.

Her favorite class, AVID, helps her stay focused on her dreams of college and career success. And speaking of dreams, Jaela has two amazing ones: becoming a sonographer in the medical field or attending law school to become a lawyer who defends others. Either way, we know she'll make a powerful impact!

When it comes to athletics, Jaela is literally breaking records—she set new school records in the girls’ high jump and hurdles! She’s hoping to earn a scholarship for track or volleyball at Florida State, LSU, or even Arizona State. Talk about ambition!

Jaela also gives back in meaningful ways—she’s made lunches for the homeless with her mom and volunteers with her church’s youth program. With strong communication skills, a love for art, and a great sense of humor, Jaela’s talents shine wherever she goes.

Her biggest mentor? Her grandfather, who shares life lessons and guidance that continue to shape her journey. After attending the AAYLC for the past two years, Jaela says the experience has helped her discover new interests and grow in confidence.
