A true scholar-athlete, Amara has earned a spot on her middle school varsity basketball team all three years while also excelling in golf, volleyball, and track. Whether she’s on the court or in the classroom, she leads by example, consistently earning Gold and Principal’s Honor Roll every semester. Her love for math reflects her passion for problem-solving and critical thinking—skills she plans to carry into a future career in a STEAM field.

Amara’s goals are as ambitious as they are inspiring: graduate high school with a 4.0 GPA, attend a Division I college, and compete in basketball at the highest level. But what truly sets her apart is her commitment to uplifting others along the way.

Through her involvement in club basketball, the Elevated Program, and Delta Academy, Amara continues to grow as a leader. She gives back to her community by volunteering with Hillside Connection, where she mentors younger kids through basketball clinics, and by creating care bags for individuals experiencing homelessness. From cleaning local trails with the Youth Advisory Council to donating birthday funds to nonprofits like Hillside Connection and Children’s Hospital, Amara’s generosity shines brightly.

Her biggest inspiration? Her mom, Shonda, who has taught her the value of hard work, kindness, and resilience. Guided by her mother’s example, Amara strives to be a positive force in every space she enters.
