Crown Scholar - January 2026 (A'nya Hill)

Meet A’nya Hill, a powerhouse 9th grader at Colorado Early Colleges in Colorado Springs with an impressive 4.4 GPA and an even bigger vision for the future. A’nya dreams of becoming an architect specializing in sustainable design, blending her passion for art with a deep desire to revitalize communities that have been overlooked or left behind. Her creativity isn’t just imagination—it’s purpose in action.
A’nya is already making history. She became the first 8th grader at her school to earn college credits and, at just 15 years old, was referred to play on a 17s volleyball club, proving her talent both in the classroom and on the court. Whether she’s dominating in volleyball or expressing herself through sketching, crochet, baking, watercolor painting, or jewelry making, A’nya brings dedication and heart to everything she does.
Driven by excellence, A’nya plans to attend college on a scholarship earned through academics and/or athletics. She loves math for its structure and clarity—there’s comfort in patterns, logic, and knowing when you’ve found the right answer. That same clarity guides how she shows up in her community: quietly observant, but always ready to step in when she can truly make an impact.
A’nya credits her growth to the collective influence of her parents and volleyball coach, and to the AAYLC, which she has been part of for nearly a year. Through the AAYLC conference, she found inspiration in being surrounded by successful African Americans and felt deeply connected to her culture and community.
Focused, creative, and fearless in her potential, A’nya Hill is building more than a future career—she’s designing a legacy. 👑
