Driven by a passion for creativity, leadership, and service, Darray is a visionary student whose dream is to become an architect. With plans to major in architectural engineering, Darray is determined to design spaces that uplift communities and improve lives, blending innovation with a deep sense of purpose. Her ultimate goal? To launch her own architectural firm—creating not just buildings, but a legacy of inspiration and positive change.
 

Motivated by the belief that thoughtful design can unite people and solve real-world problems, Darray is equally committed to addressing social issues like homelessness and economic hardship. Already developing an app to help people access vital resources, she is eager to pair her future in architecture with travel, diplomacy, and nonprofit leadership—expanding her impact well beyond the drafting table.
 

A lover of literature, Darray finds inspiration in stories and new perspectives, building the communication and critical thinking skills essential for both architecture and leadership. Her academic journey is marked by standout accomplishments: Vice President of Communications for Colorado FBLA District 6, founder of Social Circle (a capstone project connecting online and homeschooled students), captain of a LifeSmarts team that qualified for Nationals, and selection for the National LifeSmarts Engagement Advisory Panel. Darray is also a delegate for Colorado Girls State, a member of the Colorado Youth Congress, and an award-winning intern and creative writer.
 

Leadership, organization, and creativity are hallmarks of Darray’s high school experience. From running the FBLA chapter and Music Club to editing the school magazine and spearheading community service—like RAD Kids Against Drugs and Richard’s Rubbish Roundup—Darray consistently finds ways to lead, serve, and bring people together.
 

Inspired by her greatest mentor—her mom—Darray credits her for instilling the values of perseverance, compassion, and hard work. Though new to the AAYLC, Darray is excited to join a community that shares her commitment to excellence, leadership, and service. With a heart for giving back and a vision for a better future, Darray is poised to make a lasting impact—one project, one community, and one inspired life at a time.
