Crown Scholar - December 2025 (Jeremiah Haliburton)

Jeremiah Haliburton, a senior at Harrison High School, is already making big moves—both on and off the field. With an impressive 3.6 GPA, Jeremiah’s love for English shines through, and it’s no surprise he’s completed four years of English before his senior year. That passion for storytelling and communication fuels his dream of becoming a sports analyst or broadcaster for ESPN one day.

A two-time varsity letter winner in football and track, Jeremiah balances athletics with academics and leadership. Known for his calm presence and strong character, he serves as a peer mediator, positively impacting school culture and helping others find their voice. His involvement in programs like Elevated, Peak Education, and Upward Bound further reflects his commitment to growth and excellence.

Jeremiah’s heart for service is just as powerful as his drive to succeed. From serving children at his church to volunteering with Care and Share Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, and feeding those experiencing homelessness, he leads with compassion and purpose. Guided by his longtime mentor, Venita Browning, who has supported him since 6th grade, Jeremiah has grown in confidence and leadership every step of the way.

A proud AAYLC participant since middle school, Jeremiah shares that attending AAYLC conferences over the years has been both meaningful and inspiring. Being named AAYLC Scholar of the Month is an honor he holds close—and one that is well deserved.
