Meet Laila Bryant, a driven and compassionate 9th grader at Sand Creek High School who is already making big moves toward an even bigger future! With an impressive 3.882 GPA, Laila is proof that hard work, focus, and determination truly pay off. At just 15 years old, she has her sights set on graduating from Harvard Law School and becoming a criminal defense attorney. Her passion for justice and fairness runs deep—she is determined to fight for those who may not have a voice and ensure everyone receives strong, honest representation. Laila is motivated by the belief that one person can make a powerful difference, and she plans to be that person in the courtroom one day.
 

A natural leader and confident communicator, Laila shines in everything she does. She has been involved in student council for four years, is a proud member of the cheer team, competes on Sand Creek’s mock trial team, participates in Empower Her, and has grown through the Yes Ma’am Pageant Program. These experiences have strengthened her leadership, teamwork, and public speaking skills. Her love for history helps her better understand how laws and society have evolved, preparing her even more for her future in law. Alongside her school involvement, Laila is deeply committed to serving her community. She has volunteered with Colorado Springs I Love You, Care and Share, One Body Inc., Deerfield Hills Community Center, and the Juneteenth Festival, supported the Alzheimer’s Walk, and helped with AAYLC conference setup—always giving back with heart and purpose.
 

Laila has been part of the AAYLC family since age 7 and has attended the conference for the past four years, gaining valuable skills, confidence, and lifelong friendships along the way. Her greatest inspiration is her mom, who has encouraged her to lead with kindness, confidence, and integrity. Through that guidance, Laila has grown into a young woman who believes in lifting others while pursuing her dreams. With her dedication, compassion, and unstoppable drive, Laila Bryant is truly a rising star. We are proud to celebrate her as our February Crown Scholar and can’t wait to watch her continue to shine.
