Meet Rawlston John, a senior at Harrison High School with a 3.5 GPA and big dreams of shaping the future through aerospace engineering. Rawlston’s passion for problem-solving and tackling challenges drives his goal to become an engineer whose work can make a lasting impact on the world.

After high school, Rawlston plans to continue his journey both on the field and in the classroom—pursuing opportunities to play college football while majoring in aerospace engineering and working toward his bachelor’s degree. His favorite subject is physical education, reflecting his love for sports, fitness, and the discipline that comes with staying active.
​
Athletics are a central part of Rawlston’s life. He plays football, basketball, and runs track and field, and was recently recognized on the watchlist for top safeties in Colorado Springs. Beyond his athletic talents, he shines as a leader who stays calm under pressure, encouraging those around him to stay focused and motivated.
​
Outside of school, Rawlston gives back to his community by helping distribute food to those in need and mentoring younger students, showing them that hard work and dedication lead to achievement and success. He credits his mom as his greatest mentor, inspiring him to overcome challenges, stay positive, and work toward a brighter future.

Rawlston’s dream is not only to succeed but to leave a legacy—serving as an example of leadership, perseverance, and determination for his peers and the next generation. The AAYLC is proud to recognize Rawlston as our September Crown Scholar!
